Installation Guide:

Installation of Coverbond-4 Car Cover is quite easy. It can be done by draping the car cover around the vehicle body. But before proceeding to install the car cover, one is required to follow a couple of precautionary steps.  The steps mentioned below are part of the preparation for installing the Coverbond-4 Car Cover.

First of all, ensure that your vehicle body is made dust free and cleaned properly. If you drape the Coverbond-4 Car Cover around the car without cleaning, the dust particles would stick to the car cover and cause damage to the fabric finish.

Never install Coverbond-4 Car Cover over a wet vehicle.

Coverbond-4 Car Cover Installation:

The Coverbond-4 Car Cover installation process includes a couple of steps mentioned below:

Coverking`s car covers are available in rolled packages and they are to be unrolled first for proper installation. As a first installation step, place the Coverbond-4 Car Cover over the hood of your vehicle and unfold it.

If the car cover is equipped with mirror pockets, install them first before moving ahead to cover front and rear bumpers of the vehicle. Installation of the mirror pockets as the first step would keep the Coverbond-4 Car Cover fixed firmly over the car in stormy weather conditions.

After installing the mirror pockets drape the Coverbond-4 Car Cover over the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle.

Coverbond-4 Car Cover Lock Kit Installation:

If you have bought an extra lock kit with the Coverbond-4 Car Cover, install it properly and protect your car cover from being stolen by thieves. The car cover lock kits have a vinyl coated cable with a metal piece attached to one end and a loop at the other end. Now, to install the lock kit, proceed to the passenger corner of the covered vehicle and fix the cable loop at around two inches through the grommet. Then, push the metal piece end to the driver’s side by pulling it along under the grommet through the loop of the first cable. After reaching the driver’s corner, push the cable from outside the cover by two inches via the grommet and then lock the end piece of the cable.

Specific Measures To Be Adopted During Coverbond-4 Car Cover Installation:

While installing the Coverbond-4 Car Cover, one should adopt a few extra precautionary measures to ensure hassle-free installation. These are, namely:

Never keep the car cover in contact with the exhaust tips if they are too hot or sharply edged to prevent melting of the cover. This is because as soon as the Coverbond-4 Car Cover touches the exhaust tips, it may undergo melting instantly.

If a car is fitted with an antenna, a separate installation procedure is required. To install Coverbond-4 Car Cover over such a vehicle, first punch an opening in the car cover. To do so, position the antenna and figure out the particular point where the antenna meets the base. Cut out a small portion of cover at this point. Install the antenna and then place the Coverbond-4 Car Cover over the antenna properly.

Cleaning Instruction: 

The Coverbond-4 Car Cover cleaning process includes two principal procedures: hand washing and machine cleaning. Alternately, the Coverbond-4 Car Cover can also be cleaned by bringing the inner side out and spraying it with water by using a hose. Simple hand washing is applicable for Coverbond-4 Car Covers that are not very dirty. One can use large-sized automatic speed control washers (M/Cs) for cleaning of Coverbond-4 Car Covers. However, agitators are not recommended to be used in machine cleaning as they can rip off the fabric of Coverbond-4 Car Cover.

Coverbond-4 Car Cover Cleaning Process:

First of all, get hold of a non-caustic, bio-degradable, non-toxic and eco-friendly anionic detergent. Take two cups of this detergent, mix with warm/ cold water and then leave the Coverbond 4 Car Cover on it to soak for 5 minutes. Thereafter, wash the Coverbond-4 Car Cover with gentle cycles for 5-minutes. Then rinse it with two cycles and again rinse with one cycle to make it half dry. Pick up the half-dried Coverbond-4 Car Cover and leave it over the vehicle to be dried completely by air effect.

Covercraft`s EVOLUTION fabric provides good UV protection while Coverking`s COVER BOND 4 offers better protection to a car from the sun’s UV rays.

Strength of the COVER BOND 4 fabric over a period of time is better while the EVOLUTION fabric contains higher degree of strength.

Water resistance capacity of Covercraft`s EVOLUTION fabric is good. But it is noted that Coverking`s COVER BOND 4 shows better water resistance.

Both COVER BOND 4 and EVOLUTION fabrics exhibit better breathability.

COVER BOND 4 is considered as good fabric for handling as well as for its drapeability in comparison to EVOLUTION.
