Preparing the Universal Car Cover for Installation:

For proper and successful installation of the Universal Car Covers the process is explained as under:

Clean your vehicle properly and make it dust free before wrapping the car with covers. This is to protect the car from the dust particles which may damage the car finish.

Never, use the Universal Car Covers to cover a wet vehicle.

Universal Car Cover Installation Process:

To install Coverking`s Universal car Covers, let them be unrolled first. Then place Universal Car Cover over the vehicle body. It becomes easier to unroll it further slowly and gradually towards the back end position. Unfold the sides so that the Universal Car Cover is properly placed over the body of the car.

If the Universal Car Cover is fitted with mirror pockets, install the mirror pockets first and thereafter move on to cover the front and back ends of the vehicle.

Special Measures required to be Taken during Installation:

Certain special measures that need to be implemented for successful installation of the Universal car Covers, are detailed below:

Keep the Universal Car Cover at a distance from the tip of car exhaust if it is hot or sharp edged to prevent it from getting melted and torn.  If an antenna is positioned over the vehicle, punch a small opening in the Universal Car Cover for successful installation. For this you need to remove the antenna and drape the vehicle with the Universal Car Cover.

Now, locate the base of the antenna and then cut the Car Cover at a place where it touches the antenna base. In the next step, install the antenna and remove the Universal Car Cover.

Universal Car Cover Lock Kit Installation:

For successful installation of the lock kit on the Universal Car Cover, simply follow the steps mentioned below:

Universal Car Cover lock kit has a vinyl coated cable equipped with a metal piece on one end and a loop on the other. Now, cover the vehicle with the Universal Car Cover. Move on to the passenger’s side and fix the loop end of the cable at a position around 2 inches through the grommet. Insert the metal piece end under the grommet through the loop of the first end, and throw under the vehicle to the driver’s side. Once you reach the driver’s side, pull the cable from outside the cover and pass it through the grommet. After passing the cable for around 2 inches, lock the end pieces to the cable body.

Cleaning Instruction:

Universal Car Covers can be cleaned by using the hand washing procedure, or opting for machine cleaning. The Universal Car Cover can also be cleaned by reversing the covers inside out.  This particular procedure of bringing the inside of the Universal Car Cover out for cleaning is applicable only where no external antenna is fixed on the car.

To clean the Universal Car Covers with machine cleaning, use a non-toxic, non-caustic, bio-degradable and eco-friendly anionic laundry detergent. This cleaning process is to be undertaken at 20-27 degree centigrade. However, for machine cleaning, use only large automatic speed control washers that are available in almost all the commercial laundries. Do not use agitators in the machine cleaning procedure as the use of agitators is likely to damage the Car Covers completely.

The Universal Car Cover Cleaning Process:

In the first cleaning step, blend two cupfuls of  non-caustic, non-toxic, eco-friendly and bio-degradable liquid anionic laundry detergent with warm/cold water and soak the Universal Car Covers in this mixture for 5 minutes to release the dirt particles.

Clean the Universal Car Cover with gentle cycles for a period of 5 minutes and thereafter rinse for 2 cycles with cold water and then use one cycle to make the Universal Car Cover half dry.

Now, clean the vehicle thoroughly and then put the half-dried Universal Car Cover over it. Wait for some time to allow the Universal Car Cover to dry by the affect of air. After the covers are dried, fold and keep in the store box.

Do not use automatic dryer in the above cleaning process and also do not dry clean your Universal Car Cover. The procedure defined above, would protect the finishing treatment of Car Covers fabric.
